Upgraded SOUNDCOMMANDER, PowoRoEntry and MITI Hoops DeCon Washes

Fire-Scene Management Apparatus from IMLCORP Featured at FDIC Conference

Marietta, GA -- / (http://www.myprgenie.com) A comprehensive range of upgraded apparatus from IMLCORP for managing critical fire-scene functions will be available for inspection at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC), March 21-26, 2011 at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis. The Marietta, GA-based designer and manufacturer (www.imlcorp.com) will feature its SoundCommander® SC1000MC (Mobile Convertible) and SC 1300MC ruggedized portable emergency notification loudspeaker systems, PowoRoEntry® breaching tool and MITI Hoop DeCon wash systems in Booth 606.

Flexible, multi-use SoundCommander loudspeaker systems offer deployment options with power and superior voice clarity to provide instructions for firefighters, other public safety responders and civilians. Each MC system includes a lightweight amplifier/control base unit and three loudspeakers. MC systems can be operated mounted on a vehicle, tripod, command operations center desk or as a fully portable hand-carried system. They are engineered to deliver undistorted live voice audio and warning sounds for either directional or wide area mass notification coverage up to 3,300 feet (1,000 meters). An upgraded optional, wireless remote VHF transmitter enables operation of the system from up to a range of 660 feet (200 meters) from the base unit. All SC systems can be synched to IMLCORP's portable AlertCommander® message delivery system to manage and broadcast prerecorded warnings and voice instructions.

SoundCommander systems project a continuous audio output sound pressure level of 125dB (RMS). Hardware is included to power the unit and recharge its internal battery from a vehicle's battery or 110-220VAC. The unit quickly converts to the fully portable mode to operate from its internal battery pack by unplugging it from its mounted configuration and external power source and quick-connecting one loudspeaker directly to the base unit. All systems also include a push-to-talk or headset microphone, built-in three-tone warning siren, vehicle/desktop mounting brackets, tripod stand and a military-grade hard transport and storage case with wheels and pull handle.

The PowoRoEntry breaching tool has reengineered chisels for greater durability. Its specially designed powder-actuated drive mechanism and cutting heads enable firefighters to safely break through door handles and locks, padlocks and security bars with 30,000 pounds (13,600 kg.) per square inch of force at the point of contact for rescues and access to blocked areas. PowoRoEntry generates no flashes or explosions, and no parts leave the tool.

Designed for first responders, the portable MITI Hoops DeCon wash systems set up quickly and can be reconfigured for patients on backboards. Hoop systems are designed to handle 1 to 25 persons and can meet responders' needs in 90 percent of Hazmat situations.

"Effective firefighting requires skilled use of reliable, mission-critical equipment," said Stefan Pollack, CEO of IMLCORP. "Our SoundCommander systems enable commanders to communicate clearly with their firefighters, other responders and civilians so that they can maximize everyone's safety. Our powoRoEntry breaching tool provides access to places where the firefighting takes place or where people need to be rescued. Our Hoops DeCon wash systems meet a highly specialized, but one that like other equipment can be the difference in a successful outcome."
