Matco-Norca Offers Lead Free Press Ball Valve Product with Leak-Prior-To-Press Design
Brewster, NY, September 19, 2019 – Matco-Norca has upgraded its lead free brass 759 Press Ball Valve (759PLF) to feature leak-prior-to-press technology. This design incorporates a special EPDM O-ring that allows water or air past the sealing element of any un-pressed connection.
Growing industry use of press-fit technology has had a major influence on pipe joining systems in the U.S. in recent years. Press-fit systems offer the advantage of flame free installations, making solder connections a less preferred method in copper applications. Not only does the press-fit system make the job site safer by eliminating the risk of fire, it also lends itself to greater productivity and reduced labor costs.
The press fit feature is built into the design of the ball valve’s O-ring and provides a path for liquids from inside the pipe to weep past the sealing O-ring of an un-pressed connection.
Manufactured in ISO 9002 approved factories and available in sizes 1/2" up to 4”, Matco-Norca’s upgraded 759PLF Ball Valves come with one O-ring and are compliant with UPC, AB1953, NSF-61 and NSF-372 standards.
