TPCAST Announces Support for Windows MR HMD with Universal Wireless VR Module
Following the first-to-market introductions of VIVE and Oculus wireless adapters, TPCAST is expanding its portfolio to deliver a wireless solution for the Windows MR HMD.
Beijing TPCast Technologies Limited Company (TPCAST) announced the wireless VR module to support the Microsoft Windows MR HMD (Head-Mounted Display). Following the first-to-market introductions of VIVE and Oculus wireless adapters, TPCAST is expanding its portfolio to deliver a wireless solution for the Windows MR HMD. TPCAST will be creating a reference design for the VR module in order to support all VR HMD OEMs and manufacturers, and accelerate the development of the wireless adapter and integration into Windows MR HMDs. The reference design will include TPCAST patented technology that TPCAST will be licensing to the HMD manufacturers that will adopt the Wireless VR technology. By offering OEM reference design, TPCAST can begin the transition into an OEM business model and quickly increase the TPCAST share in the Wireless VR market.
