Model 1105 Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation (BNC) Universal Counter Adds to Growing List of Quality Instruments

Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation - San Rafael CA 2/9/2009

For Immediate Release: Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation (BNC) Universal Counter incorporates 40 ps of time interval resolution along with 12 digits of frequency resolution.

The new Model 1105 incorporates 12 digits of frequency resolution and 40 ps of time interval resolution. Engineers can now spend less than $1,800.00 and exceed the performance of existing counters.

An established Bay Area company, Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation (BNC) enjoys a 45 year history providing quality test and measurement instrumentation. BNC is a leading manufacturer of precision instrumentation in both amplitude and time-domains, offering pulse generators that provide amplitude resolution of 10 ppm and amplitude stability of 5 ppm. With the recent addition of products such as the Universal Counters, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, and Digital Video Microscopes BNC will be providing the industry with a growing list of quality instruments.

Berkeley Nucleonics model 1105 also offers built-in statistics and math functions that users can utilize when analyzing display mean, min/max, delta, and standard deviations. Scale and offset can be easily used in compensating for systematic occurrences typically seen in some experiments.

Mark Slattery, a BNC Applications Engineer, works to accurately control impact velocity tests which are conducted in a large, vacuum controlled, impact chamber supported by time interval counters, oscilloscopes, digital recorders, and pulse power supplies. By incorporating the model 1105 into this test setup we support continuing development of shock wave metrology.

The new model 1105 incorporates many new features including Rise / Fall Time, Period, Phase, Event Counts, Voltage Peaks measurements, Easy LAN Control using Ethernet IP with comprehensive GUI, and Free Software using widely accepted SCPI commands.

The Model 1105 is priced at $1,765.00 domestically. Loaded with new features a, the Model 1105 is a great option for your growing benchtop instrumentation demands.
