Transformerless Digital Energy LP-33U Series UPS Delivers 97 Percent Efficiency, Protection in Mission Critical Applications
Lombard, IL- The new high-performance Digital Energy(TM) LP-33U Series 10-60kVA Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) from GE Consumer & Industrial's Power Quality business delivers reliable power protection, an industry-leading 97 percent system efficiency and proven Redundant Parallel Architecture(TM) (RPA(TM)) to owners and operators of e-commerce applications, mobile networks, corporate internet sites, medical equipment, banking systems, ePay and networked IT structures.
Available in 10-60 kVA, the Digital Energy(TM) LP-33U Series' "transformerless" design and compact footprint create less weight, better efficiency, easy front service access, and low audible noise, making it suitable for both office and industrial environments.

GE's unique Redundant Parallel Architecture(TM) technology enables the Digital Energy(TM) LP-33 Series to parallel up to four units, which cuts costs and increases reliability. Controlled in a peer-to-peer configuration using redundancy in all critical elements and functions, RPA(TM) technology eliminates single points of failure. It precisely synchronizes output phase, automatically sharing the load supported by each UPS.
The Digital Energy(TM) LP-33U Series UPS is a double conversion UPS system with true online voltage and frequency-independent (VFI) operation. GE's Intelligent Energy Management(TM) (IEM) Configuration with ECO mode permanently monitors the quality of the mains, immediately transferring to VFI mode when the mains fall out of tolerance.
Along with delivering reliability and energy-savings, the LP-33U Series also:
o Creates a high input power factor (>.98) and low input distortion (<10%) by using a hybrid IGBT rectifier;
o Utilizes Pulse Width Modulation (PVM) IGBT digital technique resulting in low output distortion and fast transient response;
o Remote monitors and manages with connections via LAN, modem, SNMP, RS232, Modbus RTU, programmable alarm contacts, and TCP/IP;
o Integrates internal manual maintenance bypass, reducing the need for external (larger footprint) equipment and lowering Mean Time Between Repair (MTTR); and,
o Delivers standard two-year limited warranty.
