Unimar Receives ATEX Certificate For Explosion Proof Controls

Unimar Inc., a designer and manufacturer of custom control panels for hazardous environments, proudly announces the completion of the certification process to assemble explosion proof equipment meeting ATEX directives. This includes controls for hazardous duty applications; oil and gas, chemical, waste water, grain milling, fertilizer, and other industries as covered under the ATEX directive.

"With this certificate, Unimar can now build control panels and junction boxes for customers who fall under the ATEX directive as their national standard for explosive atmospheres," says Michael Marley, President of Unimar. "It complements and helps us expand on the Class I, Div. 2 products for hazardous locations that we have been building for years."

In order to achieve the licensing, Unimar had to go through extensive training and quality process audits. "We are grateful to the ATEX trainers for their time and expertise and found the process helpful, informative, and very thorough. There are definitely subtle but important differences between ATEX and Class I, Div. 2," indicates Michael Marley.  With certification achieved, Unimar confidently looks to begin a new direction of assembly with the safety and security that signifies the ATEX level of performance.
