Unifilm U800 and U801 Transfer Adhesives Pass UL Certification

Scapa North America has announced that two of its acrylic transfer adhesives, Unifilm U801 and Unifilm U800, have achieved UL recognition to standard # 969 for Marking & Labeling Systems. These two transfer adhesives are used for nameplate assembly, screen printing and high temperature industrial bonding, and to bond and protect flexible printed circuits (FPC).
Unifilm U800 is 2 mils thick, and maintains excellent shear properties at temperatures greater than 200ºC. This acrylic transfer adhesive is supplied on a natural non-printed stay flat release liner. Unifilm U801 is 5 mils thick and maintains excellent shear properties at temperatures greater than 375ºF. The product is supplied with a 60# polycoated kraft release liner.
Both products offer an excellent balance of tack and peel, and adhere well to a variety of metals and plastics including polyimide, polyester and ABS.
