Underspeed Sensor has multi-voltage (24-240 AC/DC) design.

Press Release Summary:

CSA class II division 1 groups E/F/G and IP67 approved for hazardous dust environments, M800 Elite Speed Switch detects belt slip, belt underspeed, stop motion, low speed, or zero speed on rotating machines. Inductive sensing device, located in nose of enclosure, will detect metal target: existing bolt head or Whirligig® fully guarded target and sensor mount. Models are available with alarm relays of 5% or 10% and shutdown relays of 10% or 20%.

Original Press Release:

M800 Elite Speed Switch: Multi-Voltage Underspeed Sensor

Morton, IL -- 4B Components Ltd., a worldwide manufacturer of material handling and electronic components for bucket elevators and conveyors, has developed a multi-voltage (24 -240 AC/DC) speed sensor to monitor rotating machinery for dangerous underspeed conditions.

The M800 Elite Speed Switch is designed to detect belt slip, belt underspeed, stop motion, low speed or zero speed on bucket elevators, conveyors, airlocks, mixers, fans, grinders and many other rotating machines.  Totally sealed and simple to calibrate, the M800 Elite works in the harshest of conditions.

An inductive sensing device located in the nose of the M800 Elite enclosure will detect a metal target.  This target can be an existing bolt head, or 4B’s patented Whirligig® fully guarded target and sensor mount.  The Whirligig is available with 1, 2, 4 or 8 pulse targets, and attaches to the rotating shaft by either a 1/2 inch tapped bolt hole or magnetically using 4B’s Mag-Con™ adapter.

During installation the M800 Elite is set to the normal machine shaft RPM by simple magnet calibration, allowing the internal microprocessor to set the alarm and shutdown relays.  The M800 Elite is available in two models, with alarm relays of either 5% or 10% and shutdown relays of 10% or 20%.  Both models can be programmed with a startup delay of up to 15 seconds, and are multi-voltage 24 - 240 volt AC/DC.  If required, the M800 Elite has an additional pulsed output, which can be connected to display actual shaft RPM on a PLC or speed display.

The M800 Elite is CSA class II division 1 groups E, F & G and IP67 approved for hazardous dust environments.
