New Ultrasound Meter Evaluator, Model UME
OHMIC's new innovative device, the Ultrasound Meter Evaluator, Model UME, used in conjunction with OHMIC's line of digital Ultrasound Power Meters, aids in the performance test of a therapeutic ultrasound applicator. The power level range is from +/-0.5 to +/-15 watts. The UME has a slide positioner that allows the display of selected reference values on an Ultrasound Power Meter. This selected value on the power meter is zeroed by the therapeutic unit under test and it indicates the actual watts output variance. For the test, the UME uses magnetic levitation, a partial suspension of magnetic force against gravitation. A UME includes a set of 1-5-10-15 watt-weights, with ±1% accuracy. The watt-weights allow for a quick, low end accuracy check.
