Economical New Ultrasonic Transmitter Simplifies Liquid Level Measurement

A new user-friendly non-contact liquid level transmitter, designed for economical and reliable operation, has been introduced by Solartron Mobrey of Houston, Texas.

The Mobrey MSP422 Transmitter provides liquid height measurement and/or measurement of distance to liquid. Housed in a robust nylon casing sealed to IP66/67, the new instrument features inert plastic wet-sides for compatibility with most liquids.

Quick and easy to install, the MSP422 requires only a single mounting bracket above the liquid level surface. Set-up and commissioning are completed in just a few minutes using the simple three-key pad and LCD positioned inside the lid.

The MSP422 Transmitter has a built-in false target recognition and rejection feature (the kind normally associated with more expensive instrumentation) and can be programmed to ignore the effects of stirrers, paddles or other intrusions - avoiding false alarms and improving the reliability and credibility of the reading.

Applications include level monitoring in filter beds, storage tanks, effluent pits and reservoirs. The instrument is also ideal for liquid measurement in most types of process and storage tanks.
