Original Press Release:

New MicroSwitch(TM) Multi-Point Ultrasonic Level Switch is an Ideal Choice for Small Tanks, IBC Tote and 55-Gallon Drums

Switch provides non-contact level measurement up to 4 ft. or 1.2 m

Los Alamitos, CA (Jan. 2, 2003) -- Flowline's Model LU07 MicroSwitch(TM) multi-point ultrasonic switch provides non-contact level measurement up to 4 ft. or 1.2 m. Each of three relays can be configured on a single setpoint alarm or two latched
setpoints for automatic fill or empty control. Ideally suited for challenging corrosive, ultrapure or waste liquids, the LU07 is widely selected for small atmospheric process vessels, IBC tote, 55-gallon drums and waste sump applications. Media examples
include hydrofluoric acid and printing ink. A miniature deadband optimizes the filling capacity of small tanks.

Typically installed in the lower IBC of a chemical feed system, the level switch automates the valve refilling process from the upper IBC. The two additional relays are often used to actuate a low-level visual alarm and low-low pump shutoff.

Combining microprocessor-based electronics with innovative ultrasonic technology, the LU07's PC/ABS enclosure is rated NEMA 8/IP67 with a rugged Kynar® transducer. The compact enclosure stands only 1.7" above the tank process connection. An incredible 2" beam diameter provides for application with restricted space. Fail-safe intelligence with diagnostic feedback simplifies troubleshooting, while digital infinity surface mapping results in extreme accuracy and reliability. The relay setpoints are easily configured with the MicroCal Windows® PC software and RS232 infrared cable link.

Price for the LU07 ultrasonic level switch starts at $395, with delivery from stock.
