U.S. Coast Guard Implements Click Commerce Service Parts Software


CHICAGO, April 29, 2008 - Click Commerce, Inc., the leading provider of service network management solutions, announced today that the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) successfully implemented Click Commerce Parts, a service parts planning and optimization tool, within the Aircraft Repair and Supply Center (AR&SC) in Elizabeth City, NC. AR&SC is the Coast Guard's Aviation Logistics Center that provides depot level maintenance, engineering, supply and information services to support Coast Guard missions.

The U.S. Coast Guard, the largest single agency within the Department of Homeland Security, is transforming its logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase responsiveness for unplanned missions. It selected Click Commerce Parts to help attain these goals in its aircraft fleet.

The Click Commerce Parts solution delivers Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software for Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) and Advanced Planning and Decision Support (APS).The RBS / APS capabilities will enable the Coast Guard to manage and strategically place spare parts inventory, which contributes to maintaining maximum operational effectiveness. The Click Commerce Parts solution also provides "sense and respond" capabilities to help manage rapid changes in mission activities.
