Hoffman Expands Selection of Type 1 Free-Standing Enclosures
Versatile A38 provides cost effective solution in a variety of applications
Anoka, MN-March 8, 2004-Hoffman has expanded its industry-leading family of large, free-standing A38 and A38D Type 1 enclosures with three new platforms available immediately. A two-door general-purpose enclosure and a line of one- and two-door disconnect enclosures join the company's one-door model introduced last fall. The A38 provides an economical alternative for applications that don't require sealed enclosures.
"Some customers are using sealed Type 12 enclosures fitted with fans and filter kits, effectively reducing their rating to Type 1." explained Doug Franz, Hoffman Market Manager. "By offering this broad selection of Type 1 models, Hoffman can meet the exact requirements of a customer's application more cost effectively."
A38 enclosures are designed to protect a wide variety of equipment in commercial buildings, as well as cleaner industrial environments such as warehouses, assembly areas and electrical/mechanical rooms. The enclosures are ideal for applications as varied as power distribution, main control, variable frequency drives, custom motor control centers, marshalling cabinets or lighting control.
The expansion of the A38 line addresses the limited selection of free-standing Type 1 enclosures previously available in the market.
