Total-Locking Twin-Wheel Caster Sets New, Higher Standard in Braking Convenience
By reducing the lock/unlock travel to 60° rather than the 90°
that is common throughout the industry, the new Jilson 2EM Series 5" CentraLok(TM) twin-wheel, central locking caster permits easier locking and unlocking than any other caster. Further, it can take up less room and requires a simpler, less complex actuating mechanism for the beds, stretchers, tables, carts or other equipment to which it is attached. Significantly less force is required to operate the actuating mechanism than with other central locking casters.
Sealed precision ball bearings for the wheels and swivel are
protected by a white nylon caster body that, in itself, prevents
dirt, hair, string, sutures and other matter from entering and
degrading performance. Lightweight and durable nylon construction is employed for corrosion resistance and easy
washdown. The Series 2EM casters are equipped with gray polyurethane tires which roll easily on both hard and carpeted floors. For ESD applications, optional antistatic gray polyurethane tires will not stain of mar floors.
In addition to providing positive locking of the swivel and wheel in one operation, the Series 2EM caster features a load capacity of 330 lb (most 5" casters have a load capacity of only 220 lb), a selection of stem lengths for easy interchangeability with other caster brands, twin wheels to make swiveling easier and to eliminate flutter as the equipment is being pushed, and a nut and bolt axle for strength, dependability and serviceability.
