Bardons and Oliver Will Introduce a Totally New 4-Axis Horizontal CNC Turning Machine at IMTS 2002


The SC-654, a high-speed, 4-axis horizontal CNC turning machine with twin 12-station turrets will be introduced at IMTS-2002. The new machine comes in bar capacities from 3.00" to 8.00" with the 6.50" model being displayed at the show.

The machine features the GE-Fanuc 18i-Series CNC control and digital AC servo drive systems along with a 54-HP SIEMENS AC spindle drive. The SC-654 was developed primarily for high-
production applications such as bearings, automotive transmission and drivetrain parts and hydraulic cylinder components. With optional live tooling, tool/part gaging, and automated material handling, including a new programmable gantry unloader system, the SC-654 turns tube and bar stock into finished parts in one operation.
