Weldcraft's New Tungsten Grinder Eases Preparation, Improves Accuracy

o Versatile grinding, facing and cutting capabilities
o Precise enough for orbital or hand-held applications
o Accommodates multiple tungsten diameters

APPLETON, Wis. 4 June 2007-To provide welding operators with the accuracy and versatility needed to prepare tungsten for both orbital and hand-held TIG applications, Weldcraft offers its new Triad(TM) (TTG Plus) tungsten grinder. Featuring precision-drilled entries, Triad accommodates six different tungsten electrode diameters-0.040, 1/16, 5/64, 3/32, 1/8 and 5/32 inch-and offers four different grinding angles (15º, 18º, 22.5º and 30º) to ensure reliable arc starting and good weld penetration.

Triad's robust industrial-grade motor also provides consistent cutting and facing capabilities (up to 5/32-inch) to eliminate the need and cost for additional tungsten preparation tools.

To ease transport to jobsites and to protect the grinder and its accessories from abuse, Triad ships in a sturdy steel carrying case, which features a durable powder-coated finish and compartmentalized interior. Included with Triad is a high-quality standard dual-sided diamond-coated grinding wheel designed to provide reliable, long-term performance and minimize costs and downtime for replacement. Each tungsten grinder also includes an electrode holder to ease tungsten rotation and reduce the potential for flat spots, along with a machine holder that allows Triad to be bench mounted for shop use.
