Tullahoma Industries to Amass Largest Eton Military Application in North America
ALPHARETTA, GA - October 1, 2007 - Eton Systems, the world's leading provider of unit production systems (UPS) for the apparel and other sewn-product industries, announces that US military contractor Tullahoma Industries LLC will consolidate all of its Eton automated production systems into its Brilliant, Alabama (USA) facility. With the addition of existing Eton lines, this plant will soon become Eton's largest North American military contractor application under a single roof. When completed, the Eton configuration will manage 250 workstations comprising four production lines with 150 online workstations and 150 offline stations with data collection and management terminals. The Eton Systems will be used to produce both Army Combat Uniforms (ACU) and Gen3 Gore-Tex® uniforms for the US military.
Headquartered in Tullahoma, Tennessee, Tullahoma Industries (www.tii.us) produces commercial and military polypropylene thermal underwear, chemical protective garments, coverall's for the US Army, and the coat and trousers for the US military.
