Sysmex America, Inc., Introduces New TS-10 Integrated Tube Sorter and Archiver for the XN-9000(TM) Lavender Top Management® Solution

- Integrated, automated sorting and archiving system that helps improve patient care by reducing test turnaround time and supporting efficient labor utilization -

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. -- Sysmex America, Inc., a global leader in automated hematology diagnostics, today announces the introduction of the Sysmex TS-10((TM)) Integrated Tube Sorter and Archiver for pre- and post-analytic tube management available for the Sysmex XN-9000(TM) Automated Hematology System. The TS-10 supports hands-free sorting and archiving and introduces new sample loading and unloading flexibilities with XN-9000. The TS-10 provides a higher throughput than TS-500/TS-2000 models and increases sample management capabilities.

"Sysmex is helping labs move beyond simple process automation to a fully integrated and performance-driven system," said Nilam Patel, Senior Product Manager, Laboratory Automation Solutions, Sysmex America, Inc. "With the addition of the TS-10, which is an exclusively compatible component for the XN-9000, virtually 100% of lavender top tubes can be managed on a single line."

The efficiency of testing and management of lavender top tubes enables labs to optimize testing and labor utilization. The ability to test greater than 90% of high volume tests (CBC, Diff, Retic, HbA1c) from a single draw reduces draw volumes and improves levels of service and efficiency for the hospital and its patients.

Patel notes this platform strategy results in other key advantages for laboratories beyond configuration flexibility and scaling. "Standardization of instrument platforms, which feature advanced technologies and information integration can transform productivity and consistency," said Patel.
