Tube Fittings provide leak-proof and torque-free seals.

Press Release Summary:

Instrumentation-grade Compression Tube Fittings consist of nut, back ferrule, front ferrule, and body that when installed become 5-piece connection providing solid, leak-free joint. Two ferrules are tightly swaged around tube and lack of initial strain on tubing ensures no tubing wall damage. Leaks are prevented because there is axial movement along tube instead of rotary motion creating joint. Fittings require 1¼ turns for installation.

Brennan Introduces Instrumentation Tube Fittings

CLEVELAND, OHIO - June 2005 - Brennan Industries Inc., a leading international supplier of hydraulic fittings and adapters, has introduced a line of high-quality double ferrule instrumentation grade tube fittings that provide leak-proof and torque-free seals at all tubing connections.

Brennan's new tube fitting line reduces the chance of hazardous and expensive leaks in instrumentation, process, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas and other tubing systems. It consists of the nut, the back ferrule, the front ferrule and the body, and when installed becomes a five-piece connection with the addition of the tubing providing a solid leak-free joint.

The two ferrules are tightly swaged around the tube and the lack of initial strain on the tubing ensures no tubing wall damage. Leaks are prevented because there is an axial movement along the tube instead of a rotary motion creating the joint. This axial movement prevents torque from being transmitted from the fitting to the tubing.

Resistant to temperature change, the fittings do not significantly reduce flow area and work with a variety of tube materials. In addition, the two ferrule action supersedes variations in the wall thickness, hardness and dimensional tolerance of the tubes, ultimately compensating for most variables that lead to failure with other fittings.

Brennan double ferrule compression tube fittings can be remade several times and can withstand heavy impulse and vibration in both vacuum and pressure systems. Requiring no special tools for installation or torque for initial make up and using only geometry, the fitting requires 1-1/4 turns until it is tightly fitted.

Supplying a wide range of industries throughout the world, Brennan offers more than 15,000 standard and special products in sizes ranging from 1/8" to 2-1/2". These include pipe and straight-thread fittings, O-ring face-seal fittings, 37° flare tube fittings, bite-type fittings, DIN fittings, international fittings and adapter unions. Most products are available in carbon steel, stainless steel and brass, and meet or exceed J.I.C., S.A.E. and other specifications.

Brennan products are stocked at five strategically located, full-service distribution centers in: Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, Los Angeles and Seattle, as well as at more than 6,000 distributors.
