Parker-Hannifin A-LOK(R) Tube Fittings Offered in Wide Range of Materials and Styles to Meet Expanding Needs of Industry

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama-October 31, 2001-To meet the ever-changing needs of industry, Parker Hannifin Corporation has developed a complete line of A-LOK® brand four-piece Instrumentation Tube fittings.

"A-LOK fittings are available in a variety of configuration, size, and material to meet all applications where a high-quality tube fitting is required," said D.F. Bush, Marketing Manager for the corporation's Instrumentation Connectors Division here. "A-LOK® fittings are widely used in chemical and petroleum processing plants, on off-shore drilling rigs, at electric utility plants, pulp and paper mills, and many other locations."

"A-LOK fittings have been an outstanding success wherever they've been installed," Bush observed. "Key to their durability is the Parker Suparcase stainless steel rear ferrule inside each fitting. A-LOK® fittings are designed and manufactured to create tight, leak-free connections, and resist corrosion," Bush noted.

A-LOK® fittings can be used to connect a wide variety of industrial tubing installations. The fittings are available in Heat Code Traceable 316 stainless steel, brass, steel, aluminum, nickel-copper, Hastelloy C®, Alloy 600, titanium, 6Mo, Incoloy 625 and Incoloy 825.

For nuclear and other critical uses, stainless steel A-LOK® fittings are available with documented Heat
Code Traceability.

A-LOK® users also benefit from Parker's engineering and technical experience, Bush noted. "Our engineers, metallurgists, and field technicians are available to customers with unique problems or situations that require special technical guidance or field experience," he said. "This service is part of the overall Parker Hannifin commitment to offering powerful solutions to our customers."

A CD software program is available to help engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel match the best A-LOK® fitting to the application. A PC-based program called inPHorm includes reference tables, competitive interchange data, and other technical information. "This program makes it very easy for people to match the best fitting to the job, very quickly and very easily," Bush said. "I encourage everyone who is responsible for tube fitting installation or maintenance to request an CD, or they can download the inPHorm data from the Parker Hannifin website."

The Instrumentation Connectors Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation designs and manufactures fittings and related components for hydraulic, pneumatic, and motion control components.
