Tube Conditioning Unit Simultaneously Cleans Up to Six Thermal Desorption Tubes

The Model 9600 Six Tube Conditioning Unit from CDS Analytical, Inc. can be used to clean, or condition, up to six sorbent tubes off-line. A stand-alone module designed to accommodate tubes with mixed sorbent packings, sizes, and lengths, the Model 9600 allows you to individually set flow rates, temperatures, and conditioning times. The standard unit has six heating jackets that accept 6 mm OD or 1/4" OD tubes, up to 11.5 cm in length. The CDS 9600 can also accommodate a mix of different sized heating jackets, for both size and length. The temperature control zones have independent "user settable" parameters, accessed from a PC serial port (DCI) or an optional handheld terminal. Each temperature control zone can be programmed in 1°C increments to 400°C and conditioning times can be programmed in 0.1 minute increments to a maximum 999.9 minutes. Start, stop and hold actions can be individually accessed from the PC, a handheld terminal, or local control buttons. An individual needle valve for each tube position provides control for adjusting gas flow. A fast-seal design featuring thumbwheels and VESPEL® graphite ferrules seal the tubes. The Model 9600 is CE approved and is available in multiple power configurations, 100V to 240V.

Options for the Model 9600 Six Tube Conditioner include a tube conditioner injector port that turns the Tube Conditioner into a tube spiking station. Heaters for other sizes of sorbent tubes are also available. A hot-pluggable handheld terminal is available for local setting of conditioning parameters in lieu of a PC.
