New Massload Wireless Weightpads: Helps Slim Down Truck Weighing Process

Massload, a leading manufacturer of weighing systems for commercial vehicles, has introduced a wireless-enabled weightpad. The pads, containing 20 independent load cells, can communicate with laptops, PDAs and Massload software.

Saskatoon, Sask. December 4, 2006 -- Massload Technologies is now offering a wireless version of their highly successful Ultraslim Weighpads. Wireless weighing on a 0.7" thick portable pad is the newest, most convenient in axle and wheel weighing applications. It liberates weighing from a traditional weigh scale, allowing the load cells to be placed anywhere weighing is convenient. Furthermore, load cells in a weighpad can be connected to an indicator remotely, without interference from wires and without costly infrastructure. Simply lay out the pads and get ready to weigh.

With 20 independent micro load cells in each pad, the Ultraslim is our most sophisticated pad to date. The system can support up to eight channels and has a battery life of up to 200 operating hours. The benefits of this system are endless. There is no longer a need to fuss with cabling in and around the load cells of the weighing area, allowing the application to run quickly, conveniently and without interruption.

Wireless Untraslim weighpads can be attached to a display system using a variety of methods. Display choices include using a Palm Powered handheld using Massload software, using an industry standard readout or using a laptop and full page printer housed in a NATO-approved carrying case. The laptop inside the case uses Massload's specially designed wireless desktop software and is capable of obtaining readings from up to eight channels and multiple load cells. The base unit is widely customizable. Massload Technologies can always custom design a wireless system from load cells up to fit individual application needs.
