New Weather Guard® Low-Profile Aluminum Truck Boxes
NEW WEATHER GUARD® LOW-PROFILE ALUMINUM TRUCK BOXES OFFER MORE VISIBILITY, EXTRA STRONG DESIGN
Crystal Lake, IL - February 2006 - Knaack Manufacturing Company is introducing its new WEATHER GUARD® Low-Profile Aluminum Truck Boxes (Model Nos. 121 and 131) that provide contractors with more visibility through the rear window especially for newer pickup truck designs that feature higher bed rails. The low-profile truck boxes have been specifically designed for extra strength and durability to meet the needs of professional contractors.
Available in four SKUs and designed to fit most full and compact pickups, the low-profile saddle boxes suspend across the side rails of a pickup truck, allowing plenty of room underneath. They also feature a single cover style designed to provide easier access to all tools and accessories. The low-profile truck boxes come in a choice of full size and compact, and either Clear or Black Armor-Tuf powder coat finish to maintain a new appearance for years.

The company added strength to the low-profile truck boxes by providing additional corner support channels, as well as a radius design on the sides panels.
The new low-profile truck boxes also have the same features as the entire line of the newly redesigned WEATHER GUARD aluminum truck boxes, including the Extreme Protection Lock(TM), which incorporates a retracting lock that adds tamper resistance and an internal torque ring that eliminates many common keyhole break-ins. The retracting button also allows professionals to visually determine locked status from a distance.
With a full 90-degree angle cover opening, the amount of clearance is minimized, while bed space is maximized. This is especially useful when mounting the box in conjunction with a ladder rack. Underneath the lids, the boxes are completely weather sealed on all four sides for superior weather protection. A wide flange mounting bracket assures crimp-free/drill-free installations.
Similar to automobile hatchbacks, the new latch design provides a smooth "one touch" opening, a feature that will be appreciated by anyone trying to open their box while carrying a handful of tools.
Additional features include a level holder for easy and safe storage of 48" levels and a durable steel tray that provides additional space for smaller tools. The tray can lock into either side of the box during transport or slide out of the way to provide easy access to tools and supplies. A new 12-volt electrical access grommet comes standard on the box for easy electrical accessory up-fits.
