A movie-inspired design show by Disney® and DuPont(TM) Corian®
Creativity and innovation meet design, Disney meets DuPont(TM) Corian® at next Milan week of design (11-17 April 2011), the most important venue for interior design professionals around the world. DuPont and Disney will showcase "TRON designs Corian®", an exhibition inspired by the film "TRON: Legacy" from Walt Disney Studios.
The overall effect and expression of "TRON: Legacy" has inspired many artists and designers across fashion, music, design and technology. From the original Daft Punk soundtrack, to exclusive apparel and designer jewellery, to the brand-new videogame "TRON: Evolution", the world of "TRON" has become a lifestyle phenomenon.
The "TRON designs CORIAN®" exhibition is an original project which will be art directed by DuPont and Disney and created using DuPont(TM) Corian® advanced surface for the overall lay-out and for a surprising scenography. In addition, under the guidance of Disney and DuPont, a series of leading and trendy companies, architects and designers will create fascinating interior design solutions and architectural forms, taking inspiration from "TRON: Legacy" and exploiting the versatility of DuPont(TM) Corian®.
DuPont has had an innovation-oriented presence at Milan week of design since the late '90s, sponsoring and organising many exhibitions featuring surprising and pioneering interpretations of DuPont(TM) Corian® high-tech surface conceived by architecture and design "maestros" like Ettore Sottsass, Marc Newson, Ross Lovegrove, Ron Arad, Zaha Hadid, Jean Nouvel, Amanda Levete Architects and Karim Rashid. DuPont(TM) Corian® has also increasingly been applied by dozens of world-class companies producing beautiful and advanced commercially available furnishing solutions for residential and public environments.
