Chicago, IL (May 2, 2006)-Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of power protection equipment, is pleased to announce that its Medical Grade Isolation Transformers now assure less than 100 microamps current leakage for the isolation transformer itself and all connected equipment. Along with full line isolation, continuous noise filtering and enhanced common-mode surge suppression, this new capability makes Tripp Lite Medical Grade Isolation Transformers the best choice available for protection of sensitive equipment in patient-care areas.

Tripp Lite Medical Grade Isolation Transformers are UL60601-1 listed. They protect connected equipment from common-mode noise, EMI/RFI line noise, utility switching transients and harmonics generated by other on-site loads, and utility- or lightning-related power surges. They feature hospital-grade outlets and plugs, rugged all-metal housings, circuit breaker overload protection and a lighted power switch. Four models are currently available, with capacities ranging from 250 watts to 1,800 watts.
