Tripp Lite Enters Strategic Partnership with Delta Automotive Ind. to Install Top-of-the-Line DC to AC Inverters within Ambulances in KSA

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is expected to spend USD 20 billion on the health and medical sector by 2016, according to statistics from the Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH), with the demand for better medical products and services and the rapid rise in population driving the industry's unprecedented growth. With aims of leveraging the booming medical equipment sector in KSA, Tripp Lite, the world's leading manufacturer of power protection and connectivity equipment, announced that it has forged an agreement with Delta Automotive Ind., a leading manufacturer of ambulances and specialty vehicles. As part of the agreement, Tripp Lite has installed its top-of-the-line DC to AC inverters within Delta Automotive's ambulances to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the emergency vehicles.

Developed using the latest technology in power protection equipment, Tripp Lite's DC to AC Inverters will ensure power continuity by adjusting fluctuation and reducing incidences of power interruption. With the capacity to supply power at 110 and 220 volts at the same time, the inverters enables charging of batteries and running of the interior equipment through exterior power sources. At present, a number of ambulance units equipped with the robust DC to AC Inverters including first responders, medium equipped and highly equipped critical cars, and 4x4 units, has been tested and are currently being used to respond to emergency calls.

"As the Saudi Government undertakes drastic reforms in the health care system, the market catering to medical equipment can be expected to witness exponential growth, thus presenting tremendous opportunities for global and regional suppliers," said Vipin Sharma, Vice President of EEMEA Sales, Tripp Lite. "Our desire to leverage this market has paved the way for our agreement with Delta Automotive Ind., which is a testament to our proactive approach in finding suitable markets for our power protection products, especially in core sectors such as the healthcare, IT, aviation and construction industries."

As modern technological advancements result in the development of more state-of-the-art and power-dependent health care equipment, the manufacturer's partnership with Delta Automotive Ind. is aimed at building a strong reputation for its DC to AC Inverters as the ideal supplement for vital medical apparatuses. Supplied through Al Jassim Electronics Establishments, Tripp Lite's distributor in Saudi Arabia, the power protection products are essential in ensuring uninterrupted power supply within the vehicle, especially during times of medical emergencies.

"As a leading manufacturer of Ambulances & Specialty Vehicles in the Kingdom, we have manufactured more than 1500 emergency vehicles so far that are currently roaming the Gulf to provide immediate care for urgent medical situations. In addition to utilizing a variety of top quality chassis including GMC, Ford and Mercedes-Benz, we have also recognised the advantages of incorporating leading-edge inverters for our ambulances. Our partnership with Tripp Lite will not only enhance our repute as a manufacturer, but more importantly it will benefit the general public who will be using our highly-equipped ambulances," said Eng. Mazen Salloum, Plant Manager, Delta Automotive Ind.

Tripp Lite's range of power protection systems for the medical sector also include its medical grade 'Mobile Power Retrofit Kit', which was unveiled at a networking seminar held in conjunction with GITEX Technology Week 2007. In addition to its line of power protection solutions for medical equipment, the company also specialises in providing full enterprise KVM line, UPS systems, surge suppressors, notebook accessories, line conditioners, cabling and connectivity products and network management accessories.
