Trimmer Capacitors suit RF circuitry applications.

Press Release Summary:

FILMTRIM(R) plastic dielectric trimmer capacitors offer 4 capacitance ranges from 0.5 to 4.5 pF through 1 to 20 pF. Devices measure 6.8 x 5.4 x 2.6 mm, and use PTFE film. Quality factor (Q) is greater than 1000 when measured at 10 MHz, and operating temperature is -25 degrees to 85 degrees C. Offering moisture resistance, plastic film trimmers are suitable for flow and reflow soldering. Resistance to soldering heat is 260 degrees C for 10 seconds.

Low Profile Surface Mount Film Capacitors

Westbury, NY .S. Sprague-Goodman Electronics has added a series of compact, low profile surface mount devices to its line of FILMTRIM(R) plastic dielectric trimmer capacitors.

Ideal for RF circuitry, telecommunication, CATV and broadband applications, this new series offers four capacitance ranges from 0.5--4.5 pF, to 1--20 pF.

Compactly designed, the devices measure only 6.8 x 5.4 x 2.6 mm maximum, much smaller than comparable lead-through-hole models. The dielectric used is PTFE film. Quality factor (Q) is greater than 1000 when measured at 10 MHz. Operating temperature is -25 degrees C to +85 degrees C.

Superior in stability, quality factor and moisture resistance to ceramic dielectric trimmer capacitors, these plastic film trimmers are suitable for flow and reflow soldering. Resistance to soldering heat is 260 degrees C for 10 seconds. Parts are packaged 3000 pieces per 33 cm reel.

Production pricing for model GSX358 (the 0.6--9.0 pF version) is $0.42 each. Lead time for production quantities in 12 weeks.
