TricorBraun Supplies Packaging for AG Hair's Keratin Repair Products
With AG Hair, every day is a good hair day in North America and an uplifting day in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The company recently launched its Keratin Repair line, and with each sale, it makes a contribution, to AG's "Women Leading Change," a foundation committed to educating women in Sub-Saharan Africa. To date, it has raised more than $750,000, built four schools and educated more than 1,300 young women. The new Keratin Repair line has been a marketing triumph, as have been AG's efforts to advance African women.
TricorBraun sourced the bottles, tubes, jars and components for AG Hair. The strategy was to identify stock packaging that would give the appearance of exclusive custom-designed containers. The objective was achieved by providing AG Hair with a family of elegantly frosted white bottles, jars and tubes with a soft touch finish that have been silk screened with sage green and dark gray embellishments.
Bottles, made with coextruded HDPE, have been used for the shampoo, branded as Refuel, a sulfate free strengthening product. The shampoo is available in eight-ounce bottles that feature a graceful reverse taper. They use a polypropylene disk-top closure with a 24-415 neck finish.
A six-ounce, low-density polyethylene tube is used for Restore, a conditioner. A new technology used with the LDPE enabled the soft touch family resemblance to be applied to the six-ounce tube. A flip-top, natural polypropylene closure is used on the tube.
A double-wall, straight-sided jar is used for Reconstruct, an anti-breakage mask conditioner that is marketed in one-ounce and six-ounce containers. They are injection molded with a polypropylene interior wall and a polystyrene exterior shell using an in-mold-frosting process that provides the soft touch feel. Both containers use polypropylene natural closures, however the one ounce container uses a 53-400 neck finish and a 70-400 neck finish is used on the six-ounce closure to give it a deeper appearance.
Repair Serum; Anti-Breakage Sealant uses an airless pump system that protects the hair care product from air and lengthens its shelf life. The pump also dispenses a prescribed amount of product with each use, and it enables the purchaser to completely empty the 75ml container.
