Endevco Introduces High-Temperature, Miniature, Triaxial Accelerometer for Automotive, Environmental, Aerospace and General Lab Testing Applications

Endevco Corporation, the leader in sensing solutions for demanding vibration, shock and pressure applications, has announced introduction of the Endevco model 65HT-05 triaxial, high-temperature accelerometer. The model 65HT-05 expands on the model 65HT family of products designed for automotive test cells, environmental and aerospace test chambers, and general laboratory applications where high resolution is needed in a very compact package.

The new model 65HT-05 triaxial accelerometer is a miniature, high-temperature device packaged in a 10-mm cube of welded titanium construction and weighs only 5 grams. Using the latest technology in high-temperature components and processes, its micro-electronic circuits are designed and built specifically to operate up to +175°C with a sensitivity of 0.5 mV/g.

With excellent amplitude and phase frequency response, the model 65HT-05 provides a triaxial accelerometer ideally suited for structural and component testing in a wide range of applications. Its reduced size enables the test engineer or technician to measure the accelerations of three orthogonal axes of vibration simultaneously on lightweight structures with minimal mass loading effects.

The model 65HT-05 features a shock-proof design that will withstand a peak shock limit of 15,000 g. Additional features include overload protection, low-impedance output, resonance frequency of 40,000 Hz, adhesive or thread mounting, and a 4-pin Microtech style, side-mounted connector. Power is provided via a constant current traveling through the same pins as the low-impedance output signals.

The model 65HT-05 is supplied with high-temperature cable assemblies as a standard accessory, as well as petro wax, screw cap and screw set. Options available are a high-flex, high-strength cable, and an adhesive/clip adapter.

The existing model 65HT-1 and model 65HT-10 are available under the Endevco Replacement Sensors program. The program is a cost-effective way to update or upgrade existing test cells with Endevco accelerometers without needing to purchase the standard accessories and cables provided with the initial sensor order.
