As CE- and RoHS-compliant piezoelectric sensor with amplified output, Model 8102 comes in aluminum or stainless steel housing with integral 60 in. cable assembly and is offered in ranges from ±50 to ±6000 g. Low-profile plug-and-play COTS sensor, with operating range of -40 to +125°C, is designed for screw mounting and provides flat frequency response to 6,000 Hz with linearity of ±1% FSO. It operates from 3.0-5.5 Vdc excitation and offers FS output swing equal to ½ of excitation voltage.

Original Press Release:

Low Cost, Low Power Triaxial Accelerometer for High g Impact Measurements

Measurement Specialties, Inc. (NASDAQ: MEAS) has just released to production its low cost Model 8102 triaxial accelerometer. This CE and RoHS compliant piezoelectric sensor features an amplified output and is packaged in a rugged aluminum or stainless steel housing with an integral 60 inch cable assembly. It is offered in ranges from ±50 through ±6000g and boasts low current consumption. This COTS sensor features an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C .

The low profile plug and play Model 8102 was specifically designed for high-g impact measurements. Typical uses include, but are not limited to, mining, pile driving, structure demolition, IED explosive effects, vehicle impact, weapons and ammunition testing. Designed for screw mounting, this device provides a flat frequency response to 6000Hz with linearity of ±1% FSO. This accelerometer operates from 3.0 - 5.5Vdc excitation and offers a full scale output swing equal to ½ of excitation voltage.

Each unit is packaged with an NIST traceable calibration certificate. These devices are EAR99 export compliant and warranted for a period of one year from date of shipment to original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship.
