Daewoo Announces New AC Power Electrics
WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH - Daewoo America Lift Trucks has introduced revolutionary AC power and efficiency to BOTH DRIVE AND HYDRAULIC MOTORS on its' PRO 5 Series of three wheel 3,000 lb., 3,500 lb., & 4,000 lb. B15T-B20T model family. Daewoo's design breakthrough takes AC technology a leap beyond other conventional AC powered forklifts that utilize AC Control of the drive motor only. The Daewoo design team has integrated the advances of AC technology with user defined comfort and performance needs generated from extensive marketplace research - resulting in a 3-wheel electric truck that excels in performance, practicality and production.
The PRO 5 Series provides a complete package of AC technological advances in the Drive, Hydraulic and Steering systems. This combination goes beyond the typical AC drive motor only configuration found on other makes, to maximize benefits both on the production floor and to the bottom line. AC Drive and Hydraulic motors promote energy efficiency that generates more run time per battery charge for greater productivity and increased efficiency. In addition, the elimination of motor brushes, commutators and directional & hydraulic contactors decreases maintenance and minimizes downtime, to reduce overall operating costs.
The command center of the PRO 5 Series is its' AC Controller consisting of a main logic board and three independent power modules with direct links to each drive motor and the hydraulic motor. With just the touch of a button, operators can select the performance mode that best meets their production needs - Economy, Standard, High Speed, or Max hydraulic & energy conserving travel.
In addition, the Intelligent Torque Control (ITC) closed-loop feedback system continuously monitors loads on the traction and hydraulic motors to maintain equivalent operating speeds whether truck is loaded or unloaded. This allows the operator to optimize operational efficiencies and maximize output.
The spacious operator compartment has been carefully designed to maximize driver comfort. The combination of low seat height, easy to read instrument panel, smooth operating electric directional control lever, spacious and open leg & foot room, standard suspension seat, infinitely adjustable tilt steering column, ergonomically positioned hydraulic control levers, plus SEE-THRU mast and overhead guard with a low rise cowl all work together to maximize operator productivity. Oil-cooled disc brakes, included as standard equipment, are sealed to eliminate outside contamination, significantly extending brake life and decreasing maintenance costs.
