Bivar Introduces CompactPCI(R) Compliant Transition Guides Featuring Snap-in Mounting for Demanding Rack-Mounted Products



IRVINE, Calif. - Nov. 28, 2001- Bivar, Inc. introduces the cPCI-T Series(TM) Transition Guides designed specifically for compact PCI (cPCI (TM)) applications and fully compliant to IEEE 1101.10 and PICMG 2.16 CompactPCIl specifications. The cPCI-T Transition Guides are the latest in Bivar's new family of cPCI components and accessories being introduced to this market. Offering OEMs increased packaging flexibility, the new guides meet all requirements for a wide variety of cCPI applications including those for the electronic enclosure, single board computer, computer peripheral, datacom/telecom, industrial control, security, and test and measurement markets.

When utilizing industry standard extrusions, the design allows for fast, economical and easy snap-in mounting with no special tools or fixtures required. Manufactured from UL rated 94V-0, ABS material for rigidity and strength, the cPCI-T Guides offer an economical solution to meet the most demanding rack-mounted installations. The new series is designed to support rear I/O as well as modified architectures and is compliant with all designs using CompactPCI form factors.

Available in Red or White for easy identification of systems slot, guides can be ordered with or without optional ESD grounding clips. ESD grounding clips include conductive inserts which provide ESD ground and polarity keying for proprietary or standard schemes. cPCI-T Guides are also compatible with hot swap architectures and all IEEE 1101.10 compliant ejector systems. Guides come standard with blind holes for additional self-tapping mounting screws to be used in high shock or vibration environments.
