Jersey City, NJ, October 29, 2001... Bel Fuse today announced the continuing expansion of its line of surface mount transformers for full rate or G.lite ADSL (asymmetric digital
subscriber line)-over-POTS (plain old telephone service) or ISDN (integrated services digital network) networks to include two new line transformers. Specifically engineered to match to Texas Instruments' AC5 (TNETD 5800) octal chipsets, Bel's magnetic components offer excellent total harmonic distortion (THD) performance in an EP10 space-saving package to maximnize PC board real estate.
Designed for central office (CO) use, the Bel S560-6600-Z6 and S560-6600-CE transformers are ideally suited for Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) equipment, and may further be specified for remote site Digital Loop Carrier (DLC)
multi-port applications. While the S560-6600-Z6 transformer is capable of assisting the chipsets facilitate ADSL speeds over traditional copper-based networks, the S560-6600-CE device is engineered for employment on ISDN lines.
These small footprint (0.510" L x 0.475" W x 0.460 H) SMT components meet supplementary insulation requirements of UL1950 3rd edition, IEC950, and EN60950 for a primary circuit at a working voltage of 250Vrms. Devices boast superior electromagnetic interference suppression as well as excellent insertion loss, return loss and crosstalk performance. Additionally featuring an operating temperature range of
-40 to +85 C and 1500 Vrms safety isolation, Bel's magnetics optimize the chipsets' overall power and heat design parameters.
The line transformer are provided in EP10 packages, and priced at $ 1.28 each in quantities of 10,000. Delivery is from stock to 4 weeks.
