New Creform Cart for Moving Grinding Wheels

Cart easily transports grinding wheels from toolrooms to machines without using powered delivery equipment. Creform Corporation, Greer SC, has introduced a new cart design allowing one person to easily move heavy grinding wheels from tool or storage rooms to machines without the aid of a powered vehicle. The unit shown will accommodate four grinding wheels, but the design is easily modified to hold additional wheels. The storage sections are adjustable to accommodate varying wheel widths. The angle of the retaining supports for the grinding wheels allow them to be easily lifted either in or out by hand or with a lift assist device. The bottom support pipes are covered with an abrasive-resistant UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) polyethylene tubing. It has four, 4" urethane casters. Two fixed for safe, stable movement and two with locking brakes for safety while loading or unloading. The cart handle is ergonomically set at a comfortable height for personnel of average stature and can be made adjustable. These Creform carts are custom built and as needs change, they can be easily modified or resized. A pipe cutter and some simple tools are all that is needed for assembly. This unit is built using Creform grey 28mm pipe and metal joints. Other pipe colors are available for distinguishing carts by use designation or to enhance an enterprise-wide appearance. For extremely heavy wheels the cart design can be built with Creform 42mm pipe and joints. 42mm pipe is 2-1/2 times stronger than standard 28mm pipe and 42/28mm joints provide access to all Creform accessories.
