Handling Specialty Designs and Manufactures Unique Steel Transfer Car
For a product assembly line in a steel mill, Handling Specialty designed and manufactured a unique steel transfer car. Two self-propelled transfer cars with powered-clamping tooling were required to accumulate rod continuously and then transfer it between process lines. Each hydraulically actuated car has a 13,000 pound lift capacity and measures 264" in length and 92" wide.
