High Performance Transfer Adhesive for Gasketing and General Purpose Bonding



Windsor, Connecticut - July 20, 2005.... Scapa North America has introduced Unifilm U636 and U647, two high performance, acrylic transfer adhesives formulated for gasketing, sound control, product assembly and general purpose bonding/mounting.

Offering excellent adhesion and long-term aging on a wide variety of urethane foams, Unifilm U636 and U647 are designed for lamination to foam for gasketing and sound control applications. These transfer adhesives can also be used for general purpose bonding including nameplates and decorative parts, and offer good adhesion to a variety of substrates including metals and plastics.

Unifilm U636 (3 mils) and U647 (2 mils) are provided with the same high performance acrylic adhesive. Both products offer high tack and quick stick, and good peel and cohesive strength. A moderate service temperature range up to 300°F, along with good humidity and water soak resistance deliver solid performance in a range of industrial, automotive and general purpose bonding applications.
