Original Press Release:

Adhesives Research, Inc. Offers Electrically Conductive Transfer Adhesive

GLEN ROCK, Pa. (January 28, 2002) - Adhesives Research, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance, specialty pressure-sensitive adhesive systems, introduces a new electrically conductive transfer adhesive for bonding various electronics components.

ARclad® 9032 is a 1-mil, electrically conductive, acrylic pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive with a durable polyester film release liner. This thin tape quickly builds a strong bond and is highly conductive in the Z-axis. It has excellent aging stability and offers important process, cost and performance advantages over mechanical, liquid and spray adhesive systems.

ARclad® 9032 is suggested as a reliable method for fabricating EMI shields, electrical interconnections and ground plane assemblies for cellular phones, computers, PDAs, disk drives, modems, automotive electronics and other electronic equipment. Also, this tape product is manufactured with plastic cores for
compatibility with cleanroom requirements.

Adhesives Research's electrically conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive systems feature the Company's patented homogeneous conductive adhesive technology.

These products offer exceptional bond strength combined with stable conductivity, even under mechanical and environmental stress, and can be easily processed by tape converters and fabricators into die-cut components.

Adhesives Research's pressure-sensitive adhesives are used around the world in the automotive, aerospace, construction and electronics industries, as well as other diverse markets such as medical diagnostics and devices, wound care, pharmaceuticals/transdermals and the pulp and paper industries.
Founded in 1961, Adhesives Research offers custom capabilities in adhesive polymerization, mixing, adhesive coating and release liner design supported by extensive product development and analytical support. The Company has been ISO 9001 registered since 1992 and was recently certified to the updated ISO 9001:2000 standard.
