Transducers and Coating meet governmental/facility edicts.

Press Release Summary:

Oil filled pressure transducers, suited for food and medical extrusion markets, meet FDA requirements 21 CFR 178.3620, 21 CFR 172.878, and 21 CFR 573.680 as well as H1 status from USDA. DyMax(TM) proprietary coating for melt pressure transducer diaphragms adds abrasion resistance without limiting performance. Product does not add to thickness of machined, high-grade stainless steel transducer diaphragms or negatively impact sensitivity.

Dynisco Launches New Products at PlastecWest 2003

Franklin, Massachusetts (January 13, 2003) - Dynisco, LLC is promoting two new products at PlastecWest in Anaheim. The first is a new family of oil filled pressure transducers. These new transducers are designed for the food and medical extrusion markets. The Oil Filled Transducer rounds out the Alternate Fill Family of Transducers already available at Dynisco Instruments, which includes NaK filled and Push Rod style transducers.

The oil fill material meets FDA requirements 21 CFR 178.3620, 21 CFR 172.878 and 21 CFR 573.680, and also meets the required H1 status from the USDA. Meeting these requirements, allows the end user to confidently change out there existing pressure measurement devices to meet both governmental and facility edicts. Douglas Joy, Director of Marketing in announcing the new series of products commented, "Now the extrusion market, specifically the food and medical segments, has a variety of different alternatives available to choose from. No matter the application Dynisco has a transducer that will satisfy the necessary process requirements."

"As companies continue to strive to improve productivity and quality, they look for suppliers that find ways to provide new products in the ever changing and growing market place," Joy continued.

The second introduction is a new proprietary coating for melt pressure transducer diaphragms called DyMax(TM). DyMax(TM) replaces Armoloy, the industry's current "standard" for melt pressure transducers. All Dynisco melt pressure transducer products that had Armoloy coating will now have DyMax(TM).

Extensive testing by Dynisco proved that transducers last longer, as much as 3x longer than any other standard transducer when they use Dynisco's DyMax(TM) coating. This unique coating adds abrasion resistance with out limiting performance. In fact, it does not add to the thickness of Dynisco's machined, high-grade stainless steel transducer diaphragm or negatively impact sensitivity. As a result the end user experiences long life plus Dynisco's legendary high performance and accuracy.

In an effort to provide end users with a superior abrasion resistant coating, Dynisco has been able to improve their melt products across the board, DyMax(TM) is the new standard for coating a transducer diaphragm.

Dynisco, LLC is a worldwide leader providing pressure and temperature sensors and instruments for plastics processing and other industrial applications; polymer test systems for laboratory and in-process measurement; and gear pumps, screen changers, pelletizers, cleaning ovens and other auxiliary equipment for the plastics and process industries under the Dynisco and Beringer brand names.
