MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 27 / -- Transcend Communications, Inc. today announced it has deployed an IP Telephony Solution for Weis Builders of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
"We have three offices, 300 employees, with 1-2 employees at each of 40-50 job sites at any given time. The ShoreTel phone system speeds up our communications in the field and allows us to find our employees in real time," states Scott Reid, IT Director for Weis Builders.
Weis had been running on a 15 year old phone system that had reached capacity and did not offer the much needed features in today's working environment. After a deep evaluation of several vendors, Weis decided on ShoreTel for two reasons; first they scored highest in every objective Weis needed for a phone system and second, it is easy to administer. Reid stated, "Choosing the ShoreTel system was a big economic factor when we compared ShoreTel and their competition. We were quite impressed by the phones, speakers, built-in redundancy, and unified messaging." Mr. Reid also mentioned the benefit it brings to their staffing and the ability to reallocate resources.
