Imperial Electric Upgrades Its Model T523 DC Motor Transaxle Drive System


Akron, OH (June 20, 2002) Imperial Electric announces the immediate availability of its high performance Model T523 DC Motor Transaxle series. These new units feature wound field motors and larger brakes for operating reliability. They are ideally suited for use in a variety of battery powered equipment including recreational vehicles, floor care machinery, single seat golf cars, material handling and lift equipment.

Model T523 Transaxles incorporate cut steel helical gearing for smooth and efficient operation. They feature a splined interface between motor and transaxle for easy serviceability. Axle shafts include oil seals that resist penetration of dirt. Additional features include ball bearing construction, all aluminum housing and neoprene mounting sleeves. 12 through 48 volt DC wound field motors produce up to 2 HP. Gear ratios of 8.2:1, 11.1:1, 15.9:1, 23.2:1 and 29.4:1 are available.

Options available on Model T523 Transaxles include 1" diameter maximum custom shafting and wheel flanges, plating for corrosion resistance, parking brake and extended mounting lengths.
