Trakware Teams Up with DCCXT to Deliver WMS Phase One For Leading North American Store Fixture Manufacturer

The integrated TRAKware / WarehouseXT solution provides strong operational and financial benefit through tremendous operational efficiency gains and rapid ROI.

Edmonton, Alberta

Trakware Systems Inc., a leading software company focused on business management solutions for custom / project-based, quote driven manufacturing, is proud to announce their partnership with Memphis based DCCXT Global, and the completion of the critical first stage of integration with WarehouseXT. The first leg of the project focuses on the receipt, adjustment, put-away and picking of shop floor / warehouse inventory (non-assembly); which is fully and seamlessly integrated with the receiving of TRAKware software managed items against TRAKware purchase orders, including the transmission of alerts and messages into TRAKware's import queue as relating to warehouse / inventory activities.

Goals and benefits of the integrated solution include:

o Customer order fulfillment rate improvements up to 99%, due to employees easily finding correct items the first time;

o Double digit operating labor efficiency improvement, primarily in receiving and shipping;

o Double digit office labor efficiency improvement, ability to handle more calls with the same number of people;

o A 6x drop in hours needed to count inventory; and a 3x drop in the numbers of counters;

o Extremely accurate picking and put-away;

o Improved tracking of special order materials;

o Decreased training time for new employees;

o Reduced payroll and operating costs.

"I'm naturally thrilled to be offering our existing and new customers expanded functionality, especially when the impact is as prolific and valuable to custom, project-oriented manufacturers such as those relying on TRAKware. The combined efforts with newfound partner DCC, presents a unique and powerful solution unparalleled in its specific retail fixture manufacturing capabilities. We look forward to the continued movement with this project, and being an intimate part of our customers' business success", voiced Norman Fink, VP of Sales at Trakware, "DCC's experience, expertise and natural ability to team up with the Trakware Systems' team - coupled with world class support and service from both teams, compelled an industry respected high volume and comprehensive store fixture manufacturer to adopt the integrated solution which is now in production."

Perhaps the greatest aspect of this story rests with DCC's Mike Owens' vision of introducing the value proposition of WMS to the high volume, comprehensive store-fixture manufacturer, bringing DCC and Trakware together. Shortly after getting buy-in from this industry leading customer, Mike suffered an aneurysm (early last October). Everything that needed to go right for Mike to survive, did! He became a tremendous inspiration to all members of the partnership. Nick Carter, President at DCC, asserted, "Mike and I have worked together for about 17 years. In fact, our major Oct/2008 trade show was the first one in those 17 years that we haven't been there together. I can't tell you how much I (we) miss him. Over and above his experience, expertise and enthusiastic vision for our customers, Mike is as competitive and mentally tough as anyone I have ever known. We've chosen to build on Mike's vision with our new strategic partner Trakware."

About DCC

Since its beginning in 1969, Data Communications Corporation has been committed to developing computer systems for a variety of industries. Our goal is to be the experts in the development and delivery of comprehensive automated systems so that your business can operate more profitably. Many companies throughout the world now utilize DCC systems designed specifically for their needs to competitively operate in their industries. In 1992 DCC added WoodWare Systems to its portfolio of companies - which was the first software and technology company to introduce barcode scanning technology to the millwork industry.

WarehouseXT, DCC's RF and RFID solution for warehouse management (WMS) and product tracking, is an application that provides one of the most immediate and quantifiable ways to cut costs for companies that are spending too much money on manual tracking of items, updating, error correction, searching for misplaced products and keeping integrity of their information. WarehouseXT ensures that you know exactly how much of every product you have, where it is in your facility, and who has handled it.
