TouchSensor Technologies Pump Switches Now Available through Grainger

WHEATON, Ill., April 6, 2011 - TouchSensor(TM) Technologies, a division of Methode Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: MEI) today announced that the LevelGuard(TM) Electronic Sump Pump Switch has added Grainger to its distribution network.

The LevelGuard sump pump switch utilizes TouchSensor's patented Field-Effect technology to detect water at upper and lower switch points. Packaged in a fully encapsulated housing and easily mounted to the sump pit's ejector pipe, LevelGuard employs the same solid-state switching technology used for over a decade in automotive, appliance, commercial and industrial applications.

"Understanding the industry-wide failure issues with conventional float switches, LevelGuard Electronic Sump Pump Switches provide plumbing contractors with a robust solution to the number one cause of basement flooding," said Dave Dzioba, TouchSensor's Director of Standard Products. "Given Grainger's presence in the maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) markets, we are extremely pleased about this new relationship."

"Now more than ever, businesses and institutions of all sizes are counting on Grainger for quick, easy access to all of their facilities maintenance supplies," said Fred Costello, Vice President, Product Management, Grainger. "We're pleased to now provide our customers with this new technology to meet their needs, especially as we enter into the spring season."

The LevelGuard Electronic Sump Pump Switch has been assigned Grainger part number 6RHW8.
