LAS VEGAS, NV, March 27, 2012 - Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., is addressing the evolving needs of the digital video surveillance market by introducing two new recording solutions that significantly reduce the total cost of ownership when migrating from analog to IP network video technology.

The Toshiba solutions raise the bar in terms of value, versatility and ease-of-use, and are engineered from the ground up with H.264 video compression to maximize network bandwidth efficiency while providing the right level of integration with new and existing infrastructure investments. Both solutions, the ENV Series of IP recorders and the EHV Series of hybrid analog/IP recorders, allow simultaneous recording and remote access to live views and playback of video recorded from up to 16 cameras. Video can be remotely accessed on Android devices, Apple iPhones and iPads, and Blackberry.

Compared to traditional recorders, the embedded CPU design of the ENV and EHV assures a consistently higher level of security against network attacks, along with the benefit of lower maintenance requirements by eliminating the need to install software patches and anti-virus updates.

ENV Series: Embedded IP Recording

Designed as an entry level solution to IP video surveillance, the four recorders that make up the ENV Series provide support for today's 1080p HD and Megapixel IP video cameras, offer ONVIF compatibility with third-party devices, PoE direct connectivity, and external eSATA port for extended storage capabilities. Mobile apps, DVD+RW, and local monitor display make these recorders an ideal solution for small businesses and offices as well as retail and home surveillance. The ENV range of solutions extend from 8 to 16 channels with standard 6TB storage and 1GB cache.

EHV Series: Embedded Hybrid Recording

Using existing analog cameras provides an cost-effective path to bridge the gap between analog to IP video recording. Toshiba EHV Series embedded hybrid video recorders have the flexibility to adapt to this application with the capability to simultaneously operate 8 or 16 analog cameras at 480 FPS, along with an additional four IP cameras. The recorders are compatible with Toshiba Surveillix SCS video management software and MySurveillix for remote access and multi-site deployments for a complete surveillance solution.

Toshiba ENV Series and EHV Series recorders are backed by a 3-year limited warranty with 1-year advanced replacement.
