Toshiba Machine Co., America to Feature Planer-Type Horizontal Machine at IMTS

Elk Grove Village, IL — Toshiba Machine Co., America is pleased to feature one of our planer-type horizontal boring and milling machines at IMTS: the BP-150.R22, featuring a newly extended 140” Y axis. With a 150mm spindle diameter, the spindle provides increased accuracy in high speed, deep hole boring applications.
A long nose spindle head is featured on the BP-150.R22 extending the spindle by 200mm, which offers better access to the work piece and ensures stable and accurate machining, even in heavy-duty applications
The new spindle also includes a spring necked turning option which allows for composite machining of any shape along any plane. With a built-in rotary table, milling and boring can be performed along multiple sides of a work piece with little or no repositioning, vastly reducing production time.
