Torque Wrenches handle up to 27,200 ft-lb.

Press Release Summary:

Hydraulic torque wrenches for bolting make-up and break-out are available in 5 models with capacities of 1,270 to 27,200 ft-lb using 10,000 psi hydraulic pump. Wrenches can be used with all standard size square drive impact sockets. They shift from loosen to tighten via push-through square drive. Set-up requires connecting wrench's built-in couplers to hydraulic pump. Couplers swivel on 2 pivots to allow hose movement without binding.

Simplex Hydraulic Pow'r-Torque Square Drive Torque Wrenches

BROADVIEW, IL, October 2000, Simplex introduced a new line-up of hydraulic torque wrenches that offer a safe, accurate and cost-efficient way to handle bolting make-up and break-out needs. Tool capacities of five new wrenches range from 1,270 to 27,200 Ft./Lbs. of torque using a 10,000 psi hydraulic pump. Smaller, thinner and simpler to use than competitive models the wrenches are designed for use with all standard size square drive impact sockets.

Simplex torque wrenches ensure extra reliability through a super strong uni-body that does away with pinch points and reduces side loading. A special alloy is used in the square drive that makes this tool tougher than other wrenches on the market. Plus, because Simplex torque wrenches do no rely upon a reaction pawl, operational problems such as tool lock-up are eliminated.

Built with the operator in mind, the wrenches easily shifts from loosen to tighten in less than one second thanks to a push-through square drive. The lightweight, ergonomic engineering reduces operator fatigue. Set-up is as easy as connecting the wrench's built-in couplers to a hydraulic pump. The couplers swivel on two pivots to allow hose movement without binding. Another plus to the Simplex design is the slim nose radius, which allows for fast, trouble-free positioning in space-sensitive locations.

Headquartered in Broadview, Illinois, Simplex is a division of Templeton-Kenly & Company.
