300 LB-FT Electronic Hand Torque Wrench Introduced By RS Technologies

RS Technologies' new 300 lb-ft precision electronic hand wrench

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Sept. 23 - An ergonomically designed, light weight, high strength 300 lb-ft precision electronic hand torque wrench has been introduced by RS Technologies. The 300 lb-ft model fills an intermediate size need in the company's family of hand torque wrenches, joining the existing 200, 500 ancd 600 lb-ft units already on the market.

It is targeted at a large variety of assembly environments, in particular automotive, light and large truck and off-highway vehicle assembly operations.

Used by QC inspectors and technicians seeking to verify that the proper torque has been applied to a fastener, the new hand torque wrench, with its low-level analog input capability, is compatible with virtually all strain gage instruments and data
collectors. They are particularly applicable with RS Technologies' Model 910 Peak Meter and Model 920 Digital Instrument.

Like the others in the RS Technologies' lineup, the 300 lb-ft unit provides excellent overall accuracy and has comfortable foam handgrips for ease of use. It is 28 inches long and weighs only 2.2 lbs.

RS Technologies, founded in 1991, is a supplier of a wide range of precision transducers, threaded fastener technology and automated product-testing systems for the measurement and verification of torque. Its founder and president, Ralph Shoberg, developed the first rotary torque transducer electronic package in 1968.
