Torque Transducer mounts in-line to SAE or Metric flanges.

Press Release Summary:

Non-contact, rotary Model RTC sensor transmits torque signal to RF receiver, delivering output of 0 to 10 V, proportional to torque, or optional 4 to 20 mA output. Operating range is 1,500 to 170,000 in.-lb, with running speeds up to 15,000 rpm, depending on range. RF telemetry package is induction-powered by stationary loop antenna coupled to power supply and receiver. Transmitter may be environmentally sealed for harsh environments.

Original Press Release:

In-Line Rotary Torque Transducer

The new Model RTC is a non-contact rotary torque sensor that mounts in-line to standard S.A.E. or Metric flanges and transmits the torque signal to an RF receiver. The RTC exhibits low torsional deflection and delivers an output of 0-10V proportional to torque, or an optional 4-20mA output. The operating range is from 1,500 to 170,000 in-lbs with running speeds up to 15,000 rpm depending on range. The thin profile of this sensor eases installation into machinery with existing flanges or for coupling to industry standard drive shafts and commercial coupling halves.

The RF telemetry package is induction-powered by a stationary loop antenna coupled to a power supply and receiver. The digital telemetry system eliminates the need for support bearings and slip rings, making the system frictionless and virtually
maintenance free. The on-board RF transmitter may be environmentally sealed for use in harsh industrial environments. Prices begin at $3,750.
