Increased Measuring Range for T10F Torque Flange

Marlborough, MA - November 19, 2001 - HBM Inc., a leading global supplier of test and measurement technology, data acquisition systems and softvare has unveiled a new more comprehensive measuring range for its flagship torque sensing product, the T10F Torque Flange.

Specifically designed for automotive test stand applications, the Tl0F now offers a true +/-3kNm (+/- 2,200 ft-lb) measuring range (DIN 50100) with minimum vibration bandwidth of 160% and a breaking torque >400% of full scale.

The new 3kNm version of the T10F features the same interface geometry, diameter, hole patterns, pitch circles and continuous rotational speed of 10,000 rpm as the previous 2kNm model. The only significant change is that the length of the new version has been increased by 12.5 mm, so the two models are virtually interchangeable.

HBM offers an extensive selection of signal conditioning devices for the T10F including cost-effective industrial amplifiers and complete digital measuring chains with software. The amplifiers provide easy linking to numerous interfaces and fieldbus systems, including RS232/485, Printerport, IEEE 488, Ethernet TCP/IP. Interbus S, CANopen and Profibus DP.
