New Pneumatically-Assisted Torque Arm Is Value-Engineered

CLEVELAND, OH-February 22, 2008- A new lighter-duty torque arm for assembly screwdrivers has been announced by ASG, a division of Jergens, Inc. The arm has been value-engineered to provide reliable service at an attractive price. It improves production efficiencies and product quality by reducing operator fatigue and by limiting operator influence on the assembly process. The parallel arm design keeps the tool perpendicular to the work surface. The arm also helps absorb torque to reduce potential for operator injury to arm, wrist or hand.

Pneumatic or electric inline drivers can be used with the arm. (Electric tools require an adaptor.) Tool weights up to 10 lbs. and maximum torques of up to 110 lbfoin can be accommodated. The arm's maximum reach is 30".
