New LDSF Tool Slides and Tooling
E.H. Wachs is pleased to announce a new system of tool slides and tooling used in conjunction with Wachs' Large Diameter Split Frame (LDSF) series. Designed to cut, face, bevel, compound bevel and deep counterbore large diameter vessels and steam generators up to a 5" (127 mm) wall thickness in the 60"-120" (1524-3048mm) OD range, they're specifically engineered for application in the oil & gas and power generation industries.
These tool slides were developed in response to a nuclear facility steam generator replacement (SGR) project, and deliver unparalleled levels of precision and accuracy on heavy wall vessels. Consisting of a parting slide, radial slide base with digital feed indicators and pivot slide with cam actuation they utilize the LDSF as a machining platform. Combined, they offer a complete portable machining solution to meet the most demanding turnaround or outage schedule. Available for purchase in time for Fabtech 2014 and later available for rent in early 2015.
